About Brooke Patterson

Brooke Patterson is an Australian who lives in Hong Kong with her husband Roger and their two young children, Evie and Barnes.

Some highlights from Brooke’s life that underpin her values and have led her to where she is today:

  • Being a member of the Australian Youth Ballet company at the age of 12
  • Winning the Australian national rhythmic gymnastics schoolgirl championship at the age of 16
  • Learning first-hand about the dynamics of financial markets in her first job on the Sydney Futures Exchange trading floor.
  • Moving to Hong Kong in 2003, at the height of SARS, on a 100%-commission job
  • Creating the financial advisory section of ANZ private bank in North Asia
  • Participating in Hong Kong’s iconic cross-harbour swim event in October 2011
  • Opening Ord Minnett in Hong Kong with Managing Director, Tim Last Sep 2012

Brooke explains: “The idea of longevity and legacy is very important to me – my outlook is in term of decades, even centuries. I want to build an honourable business that will last the distance, just like the Jarrah tree."

Here’s how she feels about working with her clients: “I get an incredible sense of satisfaction from freeing up space for highly capable Australians who want to go out and make a difference in the world, knowing that their personal structuring is in integrity and as efficient as possible. But I’m not willing to do things that don’t serve their best interests, no matter how lucrative that might be for me – I simply don’t have a poker face.”
